Sustainable Rural Development & Poverty Alleviation in the Lao PDR
Commité de Coopération avec Laos (CCL) is a French non-governmental organization based in Vientiane, Laos. Our main goal is to enhance rural development and contribute to poverty alleviation in Lao PDR. We have been running rural development programs in the northern uplands of Laos since 1980 in order to improve the livelihoods of Lao people, especially targeting ethnic minorities groups and women in remote areas.
What We Do
Over the past 40 years, we have been providing financial support and training on nutrition, health and sanitation issues, food processing, value chain development, sustainable agriculture practices, but also capacity building, civil society strengthening and gender equity, to many rural communities of Xiengkhouang, Phongsaly and Oudomxay.
More than 110,370 people and up to 289 villages benefited
538 hectares of rice terraces, 1079 latrines, and water sanitation for 66 villages built
Where We Work
